PROGRAM/SERVICEDESCRIPTION

Criminal Opportunity Patrols

If an officer observes an opportunity for a crime he will attempt to contact you and correct the situation immediately. If we can’t contact you, then you will receive a courtesy warning letting you know what we found. Officers that observe open garage doors, vehicle doors, or other opportunities for crime, may have a dispatcher call your home and inform you of the opportunity for crime. For more tips on crime prevention please see Helpful Tips Section or ask for a crime prevention specialist to come to your home.

Dark House Program

Available to residents only. Whether you’re going out of town for a few days or for the season we offer a dark house program. Call or fill out the form and drop it by the Police Department and a member of our staff will check the doors, windows, and exterior of your home on a regular basis, in your absence.

Dog and Cat Registration

Our pet registration is simple, take a picture of your dog and/or cat and email it to us at mlegall@atlantisfl.gov then complete the registration form and submit it with a check for twenty dollars and mail or bring to the police department. If you can’t email your picture, stop by and we’ll be glad to take the picture for you.
Fees are $20.00 for the first pet and $10.00 for each additional pet.

Fingerprints

Available to all citizens, you must bring your own fingerprint card(s) and a valid form of identification. Non-residents will be charged $15.00 per card, no charge for residents. Cash only, no checks accepted.

Emergency Notification/Blackboard

Our Emergency Notification System is an automated geographic notification system. This program gives us the ability to get urgent, time-critical messages to groups of residences or businesses. Such messages may include: lost/missing persons notifications, water main breaks, and boil water notices. This information system is a great asset to our community and we are pleased to bring you this service. If for some reason you do not wish to be contacted, please notify us and we’ll remove you from our database. You can opt for a phone call, text message or email.
