DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
City Council is presided over by five Council Members, three of whom are elected in even-numbered years and two in odd-numbered years. Council meetings are open to the public and held on the third Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
City Manager Brian R. Moree is the chief administrative officer for Atlantis.
City Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Utility payments may be dropped in the outdoor mailbox on the east side of City Hall.
Architectural Review Committee meets every Wednesday to review plans for new construction, exterior alterations and/or additions, before a permit is issued.
Board Of Adjustment meets when scheduled by the City Manager's Office, on written request from a resident or business seeking a variance or special exception to City of Ordinances.
Police Pension Board meets quarterly to administer the police pension fund.
Infrastructure Surtax Oversight Committee meets as needed to oversee the City's expenditure of surtax proceeds.
