Powers & Duties
To conduct review and analyses of projects assigned by the City Council, and make advisory recommendations to the City Council.
To review and evaluate the financial investments of the City and make advisory recommendations to the City Council.
To review City policies and procedures affecting financial functions to include audit reports, bond oversight, purchasing and contract audits, financial policy, debt service, banking and investment policies, and make advisory recommendations to the City Council, as deemed appropriate.
To provide audit oversight, consistent with Section 218.391, Florida Statutes, including review the City's annual audit and meeting with the City Auditor to discuss the City Audit prior to submittal to the City Council for final approval.
To act as the Audit Committee in order to provide for auditor selection functions consistent with Section 218.391, Florida Statutes, upon motion of the City Council from time to time.
To perform such other related functions upon motion of the City Council from time to time.
